Janice Ahlstrom, RN, CPHIMS
Janice Ahlstrom has over 28 years of experience in the health care industry working with provider, payor, and pharmaceutical organizations. In addition to her experience in health care technology and management consulting, she is a registered nurse with 11 years of experience in clinical practice as a nurse manager, educator, and staff nurse. She has an extensive background in selection, configuration, implementation, and integration of enterprise clinical information systems. Janice has managed the implementation of electronic medical record systems in both the inpatient acute care and ambulatory practice environments. She has a strong focus on performance improvement and business process optimization, leveraging Lean and Six Sigma tools. Clients find value in the solutions that Janice crafts, drawing on her clinical, technology, and health care operations acumen. Janice is CPHIMS certified by Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) in Healthcare Information and Management Systems.
As a Partner in Wipfli’s health care consulting practice, Janice is responsible for development of services that align with industry, business, and technology trends to assist clients in the continuous process of performance improvement.
Janice is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), HIMSS, Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE), and American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). She is a member of the Board of Directors for Prevent Blindness Wisconsin and a Junior Achievement volunteer in area schools.
Tracy L. Hanson, MHA

Lakewood Health System
Tracy Hanson has been the Director of Performance Improvement at Lakewood Health System, a rural healthcare system in Staples, MN, since July 2009. She came to Lakewood with several years of performance improvement experience at Lankenau Hospital, a 331-bed community teaching hospital in suburban Philadelphia.
As Director of Performance Improvement, Tracy is responsible for the organizational approach to continuous improvement and for the implementation of a Lean grant. In addition to engaging the workforce in improvement techniques Tracy is highly involved in reorganizing the quality structure to reflect alignment of strategic goals and measurement of organizational processes.
Specific areas of expertise include change management, workforce engagement, emergency department operations, pharmacy and nursing processes, and cardiovascular services.
Tracy holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota and she is trained as a Black Belt in Lean/Six Sigma. She received her Bachelors of Science from Minnesota State University Moorhead. Additionally, she holds a Minnesota license as a Nursing Home Administrator.
