Arkansas Delta Health Workforce Training Program
Program Overview: The Arkansas Delta Health Workforce Training Program, a partnership between the University of Arkansas Grantham, ARCare, and the Arkansas Rural Health Partnership (ARHP), seeks to meet critical health workforce infrastructure gaps of participating network members and increase Arkansas Delta residents' accessibility to affordable certification and degree programs in health administration support careers.
The program offers a pathway for Arkansas Delta residents to enroll in fully online training programs that lead to certificates in electronic health records, medical coding and billing, and medical administrative assistant; associate degrees in healthcare administration, medical billing and coding, and medical administrative assistant; and a bachelor’s degree in health information management.
Program participants include those who live and work in the Arkansas Delta and are already in the workforce, as well as high school graduates who will enter the workforce. Upon completion of a training program, ARHP staff will work with students to place them in internships (as needed) or in jobs across the Arkansas Delta.
