Speakers

Description

Hospital and obstetric department closures, workforce supply and distribution, increasing costs, increased provider demands and availability, and a lack of innovation have led to growing maternal health deserts and poor outcomes across rural America. In this webinar, participants will learn about issues surrounding maternal health in rural settings and explore whether small rural hospitals, rural health clinics, and communities can leverage Federally Qualified Health Centers to stabilize maternal health care access and improve outcomes.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the existing issues and gaps in rural maternal health care
  • Recognize the unique advantages of leveraging and partnering with a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) can bring to maternal health access and improved outcomes
  • Develop short and long-term goals for stabilizing rural maternal health care in a partnership between a rural health care organization and FQHC
